Our 1st camping trip of 2008....

We leave May 10th for our 1st. We have a Ranger truck with a 6'truck camper on the back. Now,,,just imagine a 6'man and a short chubby lady getting out of that!!! We're staying in IN, due to my mother's health, but we plan to have a great time. When are you leaving, where are you going and what do you use..tent, RV, pop up, the back seat?????

We'll be sticking around home this Summer. If we do ever go camping tenting is the way we do it.

We go on the 3rd!!! We pick up the new rv travel trailer tomorrow. We bring it out to the seasonal site on Saturday. It won't be much of a holiday, moving the old trailer, adapting the enclosed deck to fit the new trailer. But we'll get set up and we go nearly everyweekend! We dont' travel, we drive 45 minutes to the campsite. It's our one little luxury..lol

We will tent for a couple of weekends at the beach. I just love sleeping outside, hiking on the beach, campfires, and just getting away. We also play tourist. I like to go to the aquarium, seaport, zoo, and our favorite seafood restaurants.

I'm excited for you! Wish I could go camping right now! Still very cold here.
We tent camp at the river, South Umpqua. It is so beautiful. Awesome swimming holes, great places to jump off! We just swim and eat all day! This year, for the first time, we have a little travel trailer. We will still use our tents, (we're a family of 6), but it will be so nice to have our food and supplies indoors! We usually go for a week at a time, twice a summer. Have a great time!!!

How fun! We hope to get camping in the next few weeks! Tent camping is how we do it.

I just made reservations at a private campground to go in 2 weeks. I cannot wait for school to be over with! We normally camp at State Parks - but this is our favorite private campground. We camp right at the swimming pond, I can sit at the pop-up and watch my kids swim and catch frogs. Oh - so relaxing for all of us!

We were out about a month ago. It was cool & rainy. But with our raincoats & muck boots we did just fine. Not my favorite kind of camping, but it was good to get out.

We do not have any plans yet. We have resorted to tent camping after selling the pop-up camper. It is still just as much fun.

We have a 33-foot Class A RV. We leave on our first trip (10 days) June 12. I can't wait!

we will be tent camping several times this year. we were going to go this weekend. but with the rain, i am not sure we are going to be able to make it. but i know that next weekend, if not raining, then we are going. the reason we aren't going this weekend, is because the tents needed airing out. so i set them up yesterday. well, low and behold, it starting raining before i could take them down. (i didn't have the top flaps on them) so they are now soaking wet inside. lol
just my luck too! lol

Hi new here. We just went camping for the weekend when the kids got out of school. Because of gas prices the camp ground was 23 miles away. HaHa. It still felt like we were far from home because we had never been to the camp ground before. What we saved in gas we spent on all the extra's, like water park, feeding animals at petting zoo, patal boats, everything was extra. Still had fun. Got our Pop-up on ebay, great deal.
