Sometimes it saves to listen to your father!

As most of you know we bought our new to us RV last fall. Well, as with any RV repairs need to be made to things now and then.

Our large day/night shade over the kitchen dinette broke. The main thread popped. I had no clue what to do where to go or where to start. Thank goodness for a dad who used to full-time RV! He told me to get as much info as I could off the blind itself and call the manufacturer. DON'T pay to have someone local repair it. DON'T go try to find a repair kit and pay for it. CALL 1st.

So thanks to Google I found the manufacturer's phone number and they are sending me a re-threading kit and instructions for free!

Apparently these things happen. My dad has re-threaded 2 day/night shades in 2 of his RVs in the past. He said it's tedious but doable.

Isn't it nice to have the voice of experience at your disposal. My husbands parents have always had an RV and have lived in them for some time off and on. It always amazed me at what that woman could pack in an RV.
