    Default On the road again......

Hello... We did it! I'll give you an update. Last fall we bought a RV, almost 20 years old, @ an auction for pennies..(almost). We've spent several months repairing, cleaning. Let's just say--hubby spent weeks on the brakes. Anyway's.... our 19 yr old Granville RV is on the road!! We've taken it out twice and will spend the next 3 wkends with it getting the gr'kids done before school starts. We were lucky, the frig, stove, oven, micro, stool, lights, etc worked!!! Mr Clean with Febreeze, Magic Erasers, & Windex with Cascade works miracles and a little elbow grease! I'll keep you updated with trips, recipes. Share yours with us.....while we're chatting--how do you hang your wet suits, towels? do you take a dryer rack? Thanks! ~~~on the road again~~~

I don't have an RV, but have always thought that they sounded like such fun! Your post definitely confirms it! Keep us updated on your travels! Pictures would be great! Enjoy!

Congrats! Now I want photos!!! It's so much fun isn't it! Ours is used as well, but a bit younger than yours, but still needs a little TLC here and there. It's still so much fun when those wheels get rollin'!

Glad you are enjoying it. FYI on the clothesline, they make camping clotheslines that go on the back of an RV. Try googling camping clothesline. HTH

Hello, the journey continues.... We, finally sold our little pickup camper! Yeah! The trips with the grands were a HOOT! We realized 2 adults & 3 grands per trip--a little much. But, they had fun & we did, too. The last trip we got smart & took their bikes. I had meals all planned, food cooked ahead~~ tacos, drumsticks, hot dogs over the fire, (we had hot dogs every time). AND having a freezer I was able to take ice cream, popsickles. I had movies planned, bubble blowers, sparklers, games ready. We did ok...but next year--we're cutting back to 2 grands! Anyway's the new/old RV was great. AND we're leaving in a week for a week.

When we were camping I always took a folding drying rack....also one of those plastic umbrella like dryers,,, you could hang washcloths and dish towels, that sort of thing on them....in a few years we will be at it again...when the girls were in high school, just got too hard with their schedules to go....I miss it....have fun....
