Urgh! One of the Camper ACs is fritzing.
The lower AC in our 5th wheel is just blowing..there is no cold air coming from it so we are relying on the bedroom ac to cool the whole camper and the ceiling fan.
Right now it stays very cool but A) This is Texas need I say more and B) The top AC is on the same circuit as the whole camper while the lower has its own circuit.
It is too much power drain on that one circuit and the compressor is not made to be used that way for long. It can cause fire and it does cause the circuits to pop now and then. Makes me nervous
So I hope it is the freon and we have a friend where we camp who does that kind of work and has the gauges to check it and the knowledge to fix it and I would insist he take $$ even though he would do it for free short freon etc.
Otherwise we will have to fork out hundreds for a new AC. Better to buy a new AC than to buy a new AC, a new compressor and burn down the camper!
Whatever it takes. We do have the money but boy I hate to turn loose of it! $500- $1000. BLECH!

I'm hoping that your friend can repair it with the freon.
The same thing happened in our motorhome a few years ago, we had to fork out the money for a new one. Those things are so expensive and camping world told us they only last about 5 years now. Good Luck!!
