It's That Time of Year

Got the camper out and am thinking about driveway camping this next weekend.

Anyone already have camping plans for the year?

We have to fix the lifter cables on our camper before we can use it this year, and we also have two certificates for free camping at state parks here that have to be used before the end of June, so we'll be somewhere at a state park as soon as the lifter cable is fixed. Maybe the north shore of Lake Superior. I'm hoping we make it to Thunder Bay, Ontario, this year.

Aside from that, all we have planned is an RV rally in Wisconsin this summer.

Of course! Going over Memorial Day, Thurs-Mon. Put a few things in the camper this morning. Paper plates, cups, & a couple washed rugs... In June leaving for MI..

I have two sets of reservations so far...one for a long weekend in New York State and one for a week on the coast of Connecticut. I'm sure there will be many many more!

I almost camped out tonight for the first time this year in my girlfriends back yard but I had a really long exhausting week at work and there was just no time to get my stuff together. But there is always next week!

Leaving for boondocking adventure in MI tomorrow. Sure hope it cools off!!
SUMMER IS HERE...WHAT'S EVERYONE'S PLANS? Any frugal camping ideas?

I'm thinking of squeezing in a one nighter at a local state park in mid July. I have my week long trip planned in July, a weekend in August and a long weekend in October. I can't believe next week is July already! time just goes too fast!

A camping tip... clean your potatoes, bake in microwave half done-I did 3 minutes-, cool & wrap in sahran. When you're camping, take out of sahran, slice in half & finish on grill. Delish! I also covered mine with spices before grilling.
We had a good time boondocking last week. The weather cooperated. I took HM banana bread for our bkfst & made no-bake cookies for snacking.
And don't forget your sunscreen!

We are getting ready to go on our first trip of the summer!! We will spend one week in the mountains and then head out to the coast and spend a week or so at the beach!

Can't wait!!
