Default Anyone camping this holiday season?

Does anyone camp or even rent a cabin somewhere for the holidays? We never have but I would love to rent a cabin in the mountains for the holidays and spend Christmas in the mountains one year. It would have to be a large one because I would want my family all with me too .

We camp pretty much every weekend from April 1 to Dec. 1. We have a travel trailer that we set up on a seasonal site 2 years ago. For Thanksgiving this year all the seasonal campers are gathering for dinner. Everyone will bring a covered dish to share and we all pitched in a couple bucks for the turkys, which will be fried.

That sounds like so much fun Lisa! What a great holiday. I love deep fried turkey, it is so yummy.

I would love to rent a cabin and celebrate Thanksgiving there. I've thought about that for awhile, but my family is not pleased with the idea. Maybe it's the idea of spending the holiday without tv?

We're planning on camping in January. . . we'll be making a trip from central IL to Hilton Head SC area. . . and we plan to tent camp from here to there.

When we were younger and healthier- we did survival camping. . . now we're taking tents, mattresses, etc. The old bones aren't what they used to be.

I would love to do this for the holidays, just couldnt afford it right now but it would be nice to rent a cabin and sit around the fireplace.
