We usually camp in state parks in which they don't really do much for Halloween, but I've heard of a lot of private campgrounds doing this and it sounds like a lot of fun. Hope y'all have a great time!

We have a scout camp out coming up, not Halloween, though. It's iffy in this area whether it will be shorts weather or snow boots. I try to do my camping in august.

Here in Texas, August camping = hell. The best time to camp around here IS actually October & November, although this October the highs have been in the low nineties with lots of humidity. So much for cooler days.

We've gone to a private campground before. A HUGE one. A family did a private halloween party. Hay ride, haunted forest, 2 bonfires, tons of food. The hay ride was fun - people dressed up in the forest. My (then) 4 yo wasn't too thrilled, but talks about it as fun now. Go figure.
Mostly now we camp at State Parks.

We have gone to Yogi Bear Jellystone Park in Millbrook, Il. for 3 years now for their Halloween weekends and they are so much fun. This year the weather was unbelievably hot 90. I felt so sorry for the kids in their costumes. The Park hosts costume contests, Haunted Forest, Halloween Party and Trick or Treating thru the park. My kids love it and so do I. They even host a pet contest I so dress my dog. Daisy was dressed as Daisy Duke this year. It was so hysterical. Everyone kept stoping us to see just her. Next year maybe a Fairy.

MyDaisy! I've been to that Jellystone Park. It's about an hour from me. My kids love it there. Not that we get out there very often - we like to travel around. Maybe we'll go for Halloween next year.
