TAKING THE KIDS CAMPING IN 2 WEEKS.

My best friend and I are taking our kids( 5 teens) camping for a week. We have done this for the last 7 years. The boys 16,17 and 19 put up all the tents, which is a great help. The girls(18 and 19 ) help unpack all the vehicles. It works out great. We are camping at the beach, so we get to hear the crashing waves at night. It is really nice to fall asleep listening to the ocean. I am so glad the kids still want to do this with us. It is really a relaxing time for me. The best part is now the park has internet so I can still check in on FV. The campground is only 20 minutes from home, so we don't have to spend alot for gas!

Have a great time! I'm envious! It's still going to be awhile before we can get out there and camp.

I hope that my girls will still want to camp when they're in their teens. Way to go Mom!

I can't WAIT to go camping! I'm envious that you have the weather for it! I'm still burrind under 2 feet of snow...well, we're seeing grass in some places, but it's DEAD. It'll be another 4 or 5 weeks before we see green.

That is great that the kids enjoy. My soon to be 14 yo is still interested. We're concerned when the jobs come.... we camp everyweekend and are really reluctant to leave the 16-18 yo home alone. alone=trouble sometimes.

Sounds great, I wish we could go camping. We have about a foot of snow. Its nice to spend quality time with the kids even if your not far from home. I hope you have a wonderful time.
