    Easy Truffles


    Recipe Description
    My favorite Christmas food gift!
    Preparation Steps:Level of Difficulty:
    Easy
    Time Needed:Ingredients:
    8oz evaporated milk
    1/2c sugar
    2 bags chocolate chips
    1 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract
    Serves:Directions:
    DIRECTIONS:
    Combine evaporated milk and sugar in small saucepan.
    Bring to a full rolling boil over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.
    Boil, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in morsels.
    Stir vigorously until mixture is smooth.
    Stir in almond extract.
    Refrigerate for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Shape into 1-inch balls; cover; refrigerate until ready to serve.
    Optional: cover with melted chocolate,dust with cocoa powder or chopped nuts.

    Nice simple recipe. I'll add these to my holiday baking. I usually make chocolate covered peanut butter balls, but my family would like these too.

    I stored them in the fridge, our home can get pretty warm, but a nice cool place should be fine.
