    Default Cheesy spinach casserole

    Cheesy spinach casserole

    Recipe Description
Sweet Italian sausage and baby spinach layered with ricotta cheese and topped with Mozzerella.
    Preparation Steps:
    Preheat oven to 375
Cut the sausage links into bite size pieces.
Can substitute other meats for the sausage or use ground meat. I have not tried but should be good with beef or seafood.
    Level of Difficulty:
    1
    Time Needed:
    1hr 15 minutes
    Ingredients:
    2 QT baking dish
1 pound sweet Italian sausage links
1 large carton of Ricotta cheese
1 pound of clean baby spinach
    2 cups Mozzarella cheese
    8oz spaghetti or tomato sauce.
    Itallian seasoning
    Serves:
makes 6-10 servings depending on if used as entree or side.
    Directions:
    Layer in this order
    1/2 the spinach
    1/2 the ricotta
    1/2 the sauce
    1/2 the sausage
Sprinkle with about 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning.
    repeat
    Top with Mozz cheese.
    Bake for 45 minutes
Turn oven up to 400 and continue baking for 15 min or until cheese begins to brown.
Remove from oven and let stand for 30 minutes to set.

I hope you enjoy it. I made this one up myself about 5 years ago. It's one of my favorites.
