Just bought a chocolate candy-making set- now what?
Well, on a whim this afternoon I decided to buy a chocolate candy-making set from someplace online. It's not state-of-the art or anything. Just has the basics to get me started. I've always wanted to make my own chocolates.
So, the set is on its way and I'm looking forward to many scrumptious creations.
Do any of you that make your own chocolates have any tips, advice, or suggestions for me? I got some wonderful ideas already from this candy-making forum. Would love for some more!
Thanks all!

We always make candy at my moms around the holidays. Most of it was homemade without any kit, but we did make the formed candy with the molding kits. They were pretty easy, just melt your chocolate, put it in the kit and in the frezer it went..lol...
sorry I don't have any better ideas...I'm sure some of the seaoned veterans on here will be able to help you out.
Good luck to your candy making and let us know how it turns out.

One tip...Using a squeeze bottle to fill the molds is easier than trying to pour them in. Not sure if your kit came with a squeeze bottle.

Yup, I think it comes with a squeeze bottle. Rock on! I already found a few recipies online, one for some really yummy sounding peanut butter cups. Can't wait!
