Want to Barter for Christmas Gifts????
Just wondering.....last year, I was able to swap some new & like new items here on FV with another member for Christmas gifts for my family. I know that for a lot of us, this Christmas is going to be very lean, if at all. Would anyone else be interested in trading for gifts for this Christmas? (For just the price of shipping -depending on the weight of the box).
I have many handmade items (just naming a few):
quilts
jewelry
dishcloths
sock monkeys(crocheted)
minions (crocheted)
other new:
Coca Cola items
craft supplies
(there's some other items, but this is what I can think of off the top of my head)
I can send pictures if anyone would be interested

I wish I could participate, sadly living in Europe, the odds are that the price of shipping is far more than that of the gift... I wish you good luck though

Just finished my Christmas shopping last weekend. Only cards, stocking stuffers and wrapping paper/ribbons left. Great idea though.

Okay, I think this would be fun! Let's see... I'm in Canada, so no food can cross the border really...at least not homemade stuff...but let's see what I have I can barter...
~ yarn (good stuff - like sock yarn. I have lots and decided I don't want to make socks anymore.)
~ scrapbooking supplies
~ supplies for fabric fusing, including the book by Margaret Beal
~ maybe a hooked rug for a quilt? What do your quilts look like many houseapes?
~ I also have some fibre that needs spinning, some carded alpaca ready to go. Stuff I cannot use on my rugs.
ETA: I also have aprons of various sorts and sizes, from child to adult, male and female. I can post pics too if people are interested.

I may be interested in a sock monkey. DD has 4.
I don't know what I have to trade though. May have some older doll house furniture. Anything else on your list?

Hmm...this is the sock yarn I have.
~ Zauberball fall colours -red/rust/orange/brown
~ Regia Kaffe Fassett
~ Regia Nomotta - the blue variegated stuff that goes great with blue jeans
~ a skein of Arequipa in fall colours
~ a wound ball of Arequipa in browns
~ ball of Arequipa in blues and greens.
I also have a couple balls of Regia 4fadig in reds/pinks variegated around here somewhere... not as much sock yarn as I thought!
Many Houseapes, are your quilts tied or stitched? I like the Thanksgiving one personally. Also what sizes? I'm assuming the Thanksgiving one is for a single bed as that appears to be the bed size the photo is taken on.Last edited by peanut; 09-05-2013 at 03:58 PM.

Other items I have for barter...
What do I need? Rug hooking supplies - wool, chunky yarn (preferably wool, silk, rayon - stuff I can dye or overdye).
Truth be told, our biggest need is for furniture and an excellent contractor! But those are probably well outside the limits for this barter/swap.I could use an iPad with cellular capabilities, or something similar (like an iPhone). I don't mind used, as long as it works! I need something to accept CCs at the next big craft show I go to in mid-November.
As for small stuff...I can always swap for dishcloths and homemade socks (okay, not so small) for "kids" presents (they are in their 20's and 30's now).

Many Houseapes, mind posting photos of your jewelry and dishcloths? I am interested in those for my two girls possibly...
