Question Have you started/finished writing out holiday cards?

In my effort to simplify Christmas and reduce costs, I am only sending out 10 cards this year. I just wrote them all out and will have them in the mail on Wed (need to pick up Lauren's school pictures so I can enclose them with some of the cards).

How about you? Have you started or finished writing them out? Are you skipping them altogether? Cutting back?

I'm cutting back a bit this year. I'm almost finished (probably 3/4th of the way). I want to get them in the mail on Wed.

The cost of postage just keeps going up. We are cutting back on sending cards too. I haven't started writing them out though.

I haven't even started yet, my cards are buried in with the decorations and I haven't gotten anything out yet. I only send between 10 -15 cards every year

Michelle your the only one getting a card this year and you already got it.

We've haven't sent cards out now for years and for sure this year just can't afford the cost. To send them out from here to Canada they are 49¢, to send them to the States they cost 80¢.

We too stopped sending out cards years ago. Cost was not the issue though. I just got tired of trying to be politically correct and making sure I didn't send the wrong kind of card to so and so because they are Jewish or this card to this person because they don't like religious cards etc, etc.

I have a couple of friends that I send a nice hand written letter to in January and they usually send one to me at the same time. It has much more meaning for us than the cards do.

Nope, have them, just haven't done anything with them yet. This year family ones are being hand delivered.

All together, I'll be sending about 80 cards. It's one of my favorite Christmas traditions, what can I say? Postage for 100 would "only" be $37-- I just count it like another large gift on my list when I'm looking at the budget. I ordered mine online and I'm expecting them to arrive today. I'll start writing them out tonight if they do arrive.
