Thanks for the recipes and all the different variation ideas. Gonna make some this weekend after I get more oats.

I love making all types of granola and granola bars. I haven't seen this recipe and I can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing!

I'm getting requests from people at work to make them! LOL

    Thanks again!
Slice them about 10 minutes after you take them out of the oven but don't remove them from the pan until completely cooled.

They're harder to slice when completely cooled, and they will crumble if removed from the pan when still warm.

Has anyone ever tried making these and omitting the chocolate chips completely? If you did, how did they turn out? If you didn't, how do you think they would turn out? ...TIA!!!

Quiltin' Mama... I've done this w/o chocolate chips, used fewer chips, used raisins instead of chips, etc. All turned out great!

Ok I made them but they turned out a crumbly mess...like their wasn't enough glue to hold them together...I followed the directions...What did I do wrong? We have to eat it in a bowl with a spoon...it tastes awesome...but do you think I could add more honey or something so that they turn out like bars?

You could try that, it may help. I'm trying to figure out why it didn't work though because I make them all the time... did you pack them down firmly in the pan before baking? I'm not looking at the recipe right now so I don't know if it says that??? If not it is important!

I love these, I make them often. I put some peanut butter in for half of the butter. Mine turn out a bit crumbly also. One thing for sure, you have to wait for them to cool completely before cutting them. I'm going to make them again tonight, maybe I'll add more honey or butter.

Try using 1/2 cup instead of 1 cup of flour along with maybe some extra honey or butter. I've been doing that (less flour) with good results. Make sure to press mixture firmly in the pan before baking, and wait until completely cool before removing them from the pan. Good luck!
