Okay..heres my meals I made on the "nice save this week"

    Default Okay..heres my meals I made on the "nice save this week"

    1st meal...
    Sausage and peppers.
    crock pot style..put frozen italian sausage in crock ..cut up and put onions, peppers and small can of tomatoes...
    Frozen hogie rolls.
    2nd meal
    turkey breast and cornbread stuffing (fried up in olive oil)
    used up leftover cornbread and onions..put a can of chicken had laying around and seasoning.
    cranberries
    3rd meal
    meatballs.. found 2 packs of ground beef in freezer.. added dried breadcrumbs (leftover from heals) and various spices.. and a can of sauce.. in the crock pot
    4th meal
    steakums
    frozen broken up in crock pot...cook a while add onions and peppers.. then put cheese.. used rest of frozen hogie rolls

    I am writing these cause I was so proud of myself..using up... I didnt even go to the store this week....
    yea for me...

    Great job using things up you had on hand. I love to do this once in a while and just shop for milk and produce.

    Yup! Thanks for the inspiration from me too! I need to start using what I got in my cupboards and freezers. I just keep buying and buying because the coupons and sales have been matching up pretty good around here lately. I really need to learn sale resistance...lol! Besides, I wouldn't mind a break from all that planning that needs to be done before-hand!

    Anyways, your meals were super creative. It would have never occured to me to put steak-ums in a crock pot....lol! I LOVE it!

    I am terrible at using up what I have in my cupboards. Especially what I buy for a random recipe that I never get around to making. I actually cleaned out my pantry yesterday. I think you've inspired me to make a list for the next couple of weeks to use up what I have! Thanks!

    Okay another quickie save this weekend.. the meatballs I made Friday.. Today I chopped them up.. put the bread in sandwich maker, push bread a bit in the wells, layered in a small layer of the meatball mix...then put motz.. cheese.. closed.. they were really good hot pockety kinda things... the kids ate them up.
