Does anyone have a crockpot macaroni and cheese recipe? I've recently moved and haven't been able to find mine. Thanks for your help!

Good Morning,
OK, this is going to sound like a very DUMB QUESTION, but.... here goes anyway.
IF you are cooking the macaroni on LOW HEAT ALL DAY.... why do we cook it first?
Thanks,
Kay

does the maccaroni get mushy cooking it in the crockpot after it has already been cooked and drained?
do you think it would come out ok not cooking it before hand? i have made lasagna in the crock pot with elbow noodles and not cooked them before hand and they came out fine just wondering if they would be ok in the first recipe that sara posted without cooking them first.

I think if cooked all day uncooked macaroni works fine.
It doesn't turn out mush. There's not enough liquid. Liken it to macaroni and cheese in restaurants sitting in a heating bin to stay warm.
Example, my hm macaroni and cheese that I bake in the oven, I precook the macaroni and bake for about 40 minutes. Same type of thing except on low in the crockpot.
The first recipe, I think is too long. I don't see it needing 5-6 hours. Two seems more reasonable.
I wouldn't over pre-cook the macaroni. Al dente would be fine.

Good Morning, All
OK, I've baked the macaroni and cheese in the oven before without pre-cooking it as well and it's turned out okay.
I'll have to try the macaroni and cheese in the crock-pot. Just recently got one and it's good for the two of us and our crazy schedule.
AIM is now working again, thanks to TRILLIAN.
Other IMs still working as well. Hope to hear from someone soon.

This sounds good. Does anyone have any idea how it would freeze? Would the macaroni turn mushy when it's reheated?
