    Default Hot dogs?

I have to take several hot dogs to a church function how do you cook them?Do you cook them in the microwave then put them in the crockpot to stay warm or do you put water in the crockpot and cook them that way?

I usually just put a little water in the crock pot, then add the raw hotdogs. They turn out pretty good!

I would probably put them in on high for 2 hours, or on low for 4 hours. I have an older cp (22y/o) so your times may differ.

Yep-- just a touch of water , add "raw" hot dogs and cook on low for few hours. . .

This has been my signature dish to take to potlucks for some time (as I had kids who might not like the casserole type meals frequently found at potlucks) . . . . now that my kids are mostly grown, I'd like to take other things, but the kids of the church have grown to count on my hot dogs

Glad they were enjoyed. I've done them before w/ beer for the liquid, and also a bit of brown mustard-very yummy !

Kinda off subject but my kids just love hotdogs cut into mini bites ( like little smokies) and cooked in the crock pot a few hours with bbq sauce.
