Are any of you starting to use the crockpot more?
I have used my crockpot three out of seven days last week, and will probably use it another couple this week.. Any new recipes??

Well, I'm dragging mine out because I don't want to use the propane that my stove uses. I put some chicken legs in it this morning with some cream of chicken soup over the top and seasonings. I haven't followed "recipes" for a crockpot in ages --- but will have to search them out since I'm planning to depend on the thing more and more.

I don't know if I will use mine more as I've been using it at least once a week all summer - it's been great to come back after the rugby and dinner be ready. But I will use it a lot. It's my slowcooker's birthday today!

Jean, you really make it sound like you enjoy cooking with your crockpot, the way you lovingly describe "dragging" it out and "depending on the thing", is yours an instrument of torture?

I've only used mine once. But it's upstairs, dusted off and used. I used to use it all summer too when I lived in a place with lots of apples, but alas, no more. This week I'm using it for baked beans.

Good point! I guess it does sound a little negative. Its just that mornings at my house are hectic enough getting everyone out the door, much less getting the crockpot going too. But I'm sure if I organize myself a little more I can accomplish this, and like any new habit it will get easier the more I do it. (Is that more positive?
