    Default Cracked crockpot crock

    Hows that for alliteration?

Anyway, our crockpot crock has a big crack in it. No one is certain how it happened, but I'm guessing it happened when I last cooked roast in it.

This is one of the removable crocks, so I'm wondering if it is replaceable? Does WalMart carry replacements? I have not gone to look yet. Its a Rival brand.

Thanks for any tips or ideas!

Mine is cracked also. You can order a replacement from the company, but it costs almost as much as a new crockpot. I haven't ever seen replacements in stores.

Is it still under warranty? http://www.crockpot.com/warranty.html
Oh my --- I don't know if we ever sent in the card to register for the warranty. If we have to buy a new one, and it sounds like we may have to, you can bet I'll send it in.

Jean, I didn't check those links so I don't know what they say, but I think the law states that you can't be required to send in the card for a warranty to be upheld. If you still have proof of the purchase date (receipt) then you should be all set.

I have seen crocks in thrift stores. It's a long shot, but you might want to put that crock aside, and splurge on whole new a 2nd crockpot: I like having more than 1 crockpot.

From the link I gave about the warranty~

    What is proof of purchase?
Either an itemized sales receipt showing the specific model purchased or an invoice for the product is the only acceptable proof of purchase. Credit card statements, cancelled checks, hand written receipts are not acceptable forms of proof for warranty purposes.

What if I do not have proof of purchase or a sales receipt?
Proof of purchase is required to determine if a product is under warranty. For special circumstances, please email us at: ailto:[email protected]">[email protected].

I'm pretty sure those registration cards are just another way to solicit your information....

Hope you're still covered and have that receipt, Jean!

Well, this shows another area in which I need organization --- desperately. I do not have the receipt..... so, I take this as a lesson! (And vow to get organized.)

Thanks for all your posts and information, ladies.
