Crockpot Pizza
As requested, here's my crockpot pizza recipe. It's really one of those things that I just throw together, so all measurements are guess-timates.
Crockpot Pizza
1 lb hamburger, browned and drained
1 box rotini or macaroni, cooked al dente (not quite done)
2+ cups mozzarella cheese
1/2 bag sliced pepperoni
1 extra large jar spaghetti sauce (3lb size) or two regular-sized jars (You can do it with only one jar of sauce, but we like it better with the extra.)
1 T minced garlic
Italian seasoning to taste
And other pizza toppings if available: chopped onions, peppers, mushrooms, etc.
Brown and drain the hamburger, then add half the sauce in with the meat. Layer meat/sauce, noodles, cheese, pepperoni, and repeat layers until crockpot is full, ending with a layer of sauce. Cook on low all day. Shortly before serving, add more cheese to the top and allow it to melt.

10 out of 10 in my family rating system I think!
Ok I just did this for tonight and I had to swipe some before dh comes home. It's only 3 and it smelled so good.
this is a keeper.
OK couple of comments
I used 1 lb of macaroni if anyone wonders how much is a box. Missy helped me there, thanks Missy.
I didn't want to use up my second and last can of Hunts thick and rich pasta sauce (I am waiting for a good sale)-- I use the blue tin with extra cheese and garlic
so instead of the second can of spaghetti sauce (Amy recommends 2 of the jars) I threw in a 28 oz can of Hunts diced tomatoes in tomato juice. juice and all.
It was getting a bit thick and looked like it needed more liquid so I figured that would help and it did.
I threw in a good pinch of oregano and basil and garlic powder but it needs a touch of salt.
Probably because I switched the second jar of spaghetti sauce to a tin of diced tomatoes plus I didn't use salt in my cooking water.
I also found the macaronis are quite cooked as of now, an hour before being done.
I have a crockpot that runs a bit too hot, so next time I am thinking I'll throw the pasta in just half cooked, not even al dente
and for a little more juice and salt I may just throw in the liquid from the can of chopped mushroom stems and peices.
