ISO Easy Crockpot Recipes
I recently got a crockpot and I am looking for EASY recipes. The other day I threw in chicken and BBQ sauce--that was good.
Do any of you have any recipes you like?

Betsy, There are tons of great crock pot sites. I will see if I can find some of them and post the addies. One crock pot recipe I use is to cook up some chicken breasts (I use boneless) in a little olive oil, then put them in the crock pot and pour three cans of Campbell's cooking soups over the chicken. I usually use mushroom, celery and cream of chicken but, have also used other combinations like cheese soup, cream of celery and cream of chicken soup. I guess you could use whatever kinds of soups you think sounds good. I just set the crockpot to low and let it go. The chicken is really tender. I serve it over rice.

Betsy, this is a GREAT website! I've used several of the chicken recipes on there, and I also purchased the Fix It and Forget it cookbook. BJ's sells it for $11.99, $2.00 cheaper than anyone else.

KathiS FYI, you can put the rice in the crockpot with your chicken. Just put the ric in the bottom, add 1/2 of each of your 3 cans of soup and a stick of margarine. Put the chicken on top and cover with the rest of the soup. Use 1 to 1 1/4 cup of regular rice. I les pot to wash and the rice has an excellent flavor.

Our favorite crockpot recipe is for roast. Seer the roast and put it in the pot. Add 1 pkg Onion Soup mix and 1 can of creamy soup. Depending on your crockpot for the amount of water, start with 1/4 cup. After 6-8 hours you have meat and gravey! One of my pots makes this perfectly, the other pot I have to pour out the juice and make the gravey on the stove. With some experimenting I hope to find the perfect amount of water and cornstarch to add to the pot.

I have a question about the chicken crockpot stuff (which sounds mouthwatering!) Do you have to cook the chicken beforehand? Won't it just cook in the pot all day with the soup? I'm SO wary of chicken...however... I'm also SO lazy about cooking.
