Baked Bean Chili
I had some left over baked beans, the brown sugar and bacon kind, and really did not know what to do with them all. Concocted this for the crockpot, wow, it is divine!
1 can of baked beans (I used Bush's brown sugar and bacon)
1 pound of ground beef ( I used a bit less than a pound)
Green pepper, diced
Onion, diced
Garlic, minced
1 can of stewed tomatoes with herbs
Chili powder and seasoning salt to taste
Brown ground beef with pepper, onion, and garlic. Then add all incgredients to the crockpot and cook on low all day.
This is yummy, sort of a sweet flavor. Next time I am going to add a couple of drops of liquid smoke to bring out the bacon flavor a little more. Everyone that tried it just loved it. Pretty cheap recipe too. I figured it out for around $4-5 for the pot full and it makes a lot.

I have used baked beans in my chili before when I didn't have chili beans and it's always great. I also add a little salsa to my chili.
