Whole Turkey Breast in Crockpot??

I would like to toss a whole, with skin, Turkey Breast into my crockpot. How long on what temp. do you ladies think?? It is thawed, 5.5 lbs. I'm thinking I will add bbq sauce. Oh, I'm going to be gone most of the day also, so I won't be able to check it. Isn't that what the crockpot is for?

I've made lots of chicken breasts and pork chops in my crockpot, just starting to branch out a little. So ladies--what do you think time wise??

I've cooked a 5+ lb cut up chicken in my CP for about 8-10 hrs (I put it in and then leave for work). So for a 5+ lb turkey breast I would say about the same amt of time.

Thanks Donna! If it's not done at dinner time, it will be leftovers tonight and turkey for Friday.

I cook a turkey breast in the crock quite often. I put it in broth and add dried cranberries and fresh sage from the garden. Tender and delicious. It is also nice if you roll it in some flour with salt and pepper and brown it before you chuck it in.
