I used to purchase H&B aids @ DollarTree, but WalMart has actually got them beat on some things (for instance, I found these items @ both stores - - and am listing the WM price: Aim toothpaste = .88, Suave shampoo = .89, coffee filters = .79 (with coupon), toothbrush (2pk) = .89). However, I use Mennen Ladies SpeedStick, and am happy to pay $1.00 @ DollarTree for something that retails for $2.49 @ WM.

Greeting cards, batteries, and coffee creamer are just about all I get there that I can't find for less elsewhere. I also used to buy paperback mysteries there, but have given up that guilty pleasure. I now go to the library and haunt their shelves.

I do, however, love to wander the aisles just to see what's for sale!

Can't wait to see more of what others buy...There are so many good ideas! I can't wait to compare prices to see if I can get those things for less @ the Tree.

    Wheeeee!

The Sunday paper is $4 on the street, but it arrives at Dollar Tree late Sunday afternoon. Occasionally I will pick one up for the coupons. The fact that the Dollar Tree might carry the Sunday paper is a tip that someone had posted on the forum.

We have 3 different dollar stores in our area.

One I buy quite a bit of food from. They did raise their prices on a few things, but it seems to give quite a bit more selection so that is a good thing.

The other one has only one aisle for food items, but today it had something totally different for them. I bought a 3 # bag of fresh onions there. The other day it had a huge box on a pallet of Keebler snacks. I got 10 boxes of crackers that day.

I don't get into the Dollar Tree that often, but probably should check it out soon.

I love the dollar tree. I could spend so much money in there it's not funny.

I buy a bunch of different things. I have been reading many blogs lately and there are few that buy items from the $$ store and turn them into something else. It's pretty inexpensive way to decorate.

    disposable pans
    room deodorizer
    fabric spray
    cookie mix
    cupcake mix
    iced animal crackers

That's just a few of the items I buy.

My favorites from the Dollar Tree are: tissue paper & gift wrap, liquid hand soap, stickers, toys & stationary type items. Sometimes I find nice glass candle holders or seasonal items & magazines. I also love the dollar bins at Michaels for bookmarks, shopping pads, ribbon, stamps & stickers! Plus I find all sorts of $1 items at Dollar General & Family Dollar. I like to pick up: solar calculators, super glue, note pads, coloring/activity books, greeting cards, shaving cream, Aquafresh toothpaste, fun size 8 pack candy bars & canned veggies.
