Big Lots Anyone?
Went to Big Lots today. Mostly to see what they had and to check on a carpet cleaner going on sale. Haven't been there in ages as far as wondering around and looking at stuff. Anyway ended up buying a bunch of bras for 4-5 dollars each. The majority of mine are atleast 4 years old. So not doing much. LOL Need to take them back since I seemed to be still overweight and not the size I thought I was. BIGGER, and fatter. Anyway, also bought an emersion blender there for $16.00 I hope it lasts longer than the other one I had. Pretty sure the motor power is higher than the last one. Also, hopefully this purchase will help me NOT buy a Food Processor. Hopefully when I go back to exchange the bras that will be all I do. Oh, these places sometimes really make me buy to much.
Anyone else a fan of Big Lots?

I like Big Lots. But you're right I tend to buy too much
when I go there. So I try to only visit when I'm looking
for something specific. They do have some pretty good
deals at times.
Good luck with the blender

I think I've been to the one here 3 times in 10 years.
Then I was with someone else that
wanted to go there.
I can seem to get better deals at Kmart.
( but thats just me )

I like Big Lots. I don't go there often though. Probably because it's like the Dollar Store, I go there for one thing and end up spending $30

I just found one that is about 20 mins from where I live.
What other types of items do they sell? Are they like a Kmart or Target? Or more similar to the dollar stores?

My favorite finds there have been a pack of 16 scrunci brand scruncis for $1! My doggie likes to pull my scrunci from my hair every chance he can get (and then either runs off with it or rips it up), so I go through a fair number.
They also occasionally have good deals on plastic storage containers (sterlite, etc).
Be careful about the appliances -- most at the Big Lots near me are "factory reconditioned" and you'll never notice unless you look carefully at the ads or at the box. Also, look carefully at the sizes of things -- sometimes they are slightly smaller than the regular ones, so you should calculate price per ounce to be sure that you are getting a good deal.

Right now Big Lot has broyhill furniture 50% off. I went to look and its all banged up and damaged.
Otherwise its good for little odds and ends but I wouldn't buy anything substancial from them.
In the flyers they send around they sometimes sell big sceen TV's and
home safes.
I bought a little safe from them one time and it didn't work.
Had to take it back...
but I like buying yarn from them ( its cheap) and some canned food items, just check the expiration dates before buying.

I like big lots, too. I have purchased all my slipcovers there much cheaper than anywhere else (from $15-$40). I have also purchased curtains and socks. Occasionally you can find really good deals. I just watch the ad that comes out on Wednesdays. They have an online mailing list you can sign up for.
