    Default DIY Air Conditioner?!!

I don't have audio on my computer so I don't know what he's saying, but heck, if he could teach me how to make a homemade air conditioner, I'd be happy!

A $22 dollar air conditioner (Canadian price I believe). He gave the price of each item he needed. The rest of his instructions were just saying what he was doing: cut holes in the lid, stick in the elbow pipe, lay the fan on the larger opening and plug in/turn on.

He suggested freezing bottles of water to use instead of ice but its a fairly simple way to make a cool air current. It wouldn't cool the house but it would help lower the temp in a room. He put the thermometer right in front of the blower though. I wonder how much a temp difference there would be 5 feet away and how long it would take to lower a room/sitting area by a few degrees?

Just keep in mind with this model you are blowing humid air into the room. A real air conditioner unit removes humidity from the air. The foam cooler model is actually going to make your room even muggier than it already is.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

The step down transformer behind our house had burned through some wires and we lost AC.... I would have enjoyed humid cool air for a few hours until they did the repairs. lol

But that is a good point. It would not be anything long term to use if you don't have a dehumidifier.

For some odd reason the video keeps going blank but I can hear what he's saying. This gives me an idea for my own version. Nice find Nada.Leona.

Dang, it was curious to read comments, but it seems that the video is so old it can't be displayed anymore. Such a pity.
