Default RECALL: Harris Teeter frozen hash browns recalled due to golf balls

Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

Because we, the people, have the power to build a better future. KH

I read this a few days ago. Makes you wonder what they put in their "potatoes". Why would golf balls even be in the same building where food is being made?
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

McCain Foods USA, Inc. announced today it is voluntarily recalling retail, frozen hash brown products that may be contaminated with extraneous golf ball materials, that despite our stringent supply standards may have been inadvertently harvested with potatoes used to make this product.
It makes sense to me, based on the above from the article.

What I want to know is how euthanasia drugs got into dog food at the factory.

How do you inadvertently harvest golf balls? Drive a combine across a neighboring driving range?

I think this is the issue SD is referring to: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.8e848718b85a

Yup, that's the one. I'm glad I feed our dogs human food.

Farmers play golf, too, and sometimes crops are grown fairly close to their houses. I could see a farmer going out to hit a few into the fields and not thinking about it that the balls might get picked up along with the potatoes. Or even kids hitting balls. Or maybe fields that are near golf courses. Lots of ways a golf ball could turn up in the harvest.
