5.1 million pounds of beef added to recall due to salmonella
A new one:

It's getting to the point we're going to need a forum just for food safety issues.Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.
Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown
Because we, the people, have the power to build a better future. KH

I was thinking "I'm glad I don't eat meat" but then remembered that I just had to throw away $12 worth of romaine and romaine mixed greens.
What's going to be next?I'm too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.

Chocolate milk is next, but that's a local dairy and probably not one anyone but myself is concerned about.

Jenni-O is expanding their turkey recall. Dates are from early November, so you might have some frozen. https://www.today.com/health/jennie-...y-over-t145830

Thanks, CH. I will check our turkey. I don't worry too much about salmonella in foods that will be thoroughly cooked, and treat it all like it's contaminated while it's raw, having worked in food production facilities myself. I'm generally a messy person but quite careful about raw meats and poultry and cross contamination and cleaning surfaces and all that.
