Question Are you ready for the new homeschooling year?

And when do you start your year?

Will be starting right after Labour Day, the same as all Manitoba kids do. But in looking at my homeschooling supplies, I realize I don't have quite everything, so will need to make an order in the next week.

How about you, are you ready?

The last of my supplies that I needed came in yesterday (and right in time too). We start in again next week since the weather is so hot and it's nice and cool in the house. This way we can go swimming for P.E. and take a break when the weather cools down a bit for a week. We'll start the year with shorter days and probably only do school 4 days a week. We do have some good friends coming to stay at the end of this month for a couple of days, so we have to figure that in also.

We take my son back to college and settle him in Labor Day weekend, then we take a day off after Labor Day and start homeschooling the following day.

I have one purchase left to make - Quarter Mile Math (software).

I'll take my daughter soon to get any small supplies she's saved up for (new markers and gel pens come to mind). It's *the most wonderful time of the year* for her - she loves supplies!

    We're set for everything else.

Boy this summer is going fast!

I start with Dylan when the public school goes back in right after Labour Day.

I have all my materials except for some Christian Light subjects which I will be ordering soon. Thanks for the reminder.

okay well this is a homeschooling thread and so I am asking how do you start to homeschool?

We go in front of the school board August 12th to ask them to do what is in the best intrest of our children (long story) if they refuse we will either put the triplets into private school (will cost about $1200 a month so mor ethan our house) or I will home school but I don't know where to start if we do homeschooling any advice on how I could start? Or if I could do this at all...

    Thanks,
    Eileen

Unhappy No not yet We are not ready for the new homeschooling year.

To be honest no I am not ready for the new homeschooling year. We officially start today.
We will be working on writing our letters and numbers and reading Dr.Seuss Books outloud.
Oh and we will be working on Bible Verses as well.
Well I need to go and check on my DD who is also working on Potty Training this week.
