Any other single parents out there?

i've been a single parent for 8 years now, but even though my kids are half-grown i still find myself yearning for that 'ideal' family life. most days i'm fine and i feel confident with my role in my children's lives. but it can be pretty depressing some days. like today......when i can see that our meals are going to be on the lean side and i don't have the extra dollars for treats .

all families have issues, mine are no worse than a family with both parents there......but i sometimes feel that i'm "out of the loop".

are there any other single parents here?

(sometimes it's just nice to know that i'm not alone)

I'm here. I have just one, 5 yr old boy. I feel the same way sometimes. I have a bunch of pg coworkers at work, and it's kind of hard sometimes, I envy them. It's hard being the only one to take care of everything.

i'm happy to see that i am not alone in single parenthood here!
