    Unhappy Joining the ranks...

...of those who are being laid off. I really didn't expect it to happen. Not after the company posted their 3rd highest earnings last year

The good news is they gave me a months notice, reduced my workload so I can job hunt and interview during the day, and are sending me to a career outplacement agency for help with the resume, interviewing skills, and job placement.

So...we'll see how that goes. I just have to pray I'm not out of work long so I can keep up with the new mortgage. I'm really scared of losing my first home. This is one of those times I wish I had a hubby to mooch off of...lol.

Sorry to hear this. I will keep you in my prayers. I do think it's nice of them to give you time to look for another job. It sounds like this company at least has someone with compassion running it. They must think a lot of your performance to put you in a work placement program.

It sounds like your company is helping you more than most. A good positive attitude will help you as much as anything right now. Best wishes and good luck.

There is just too much of this happening at the moment. It;s enough to stop you from sleeping at night.

Sending you really positive vibes and I'm confident that everything will work out ok for you.

I hope with the reduction in work hours, it doesn't negatively impact your severance package. Good luck and I hope you get a new job soon. Hugs.

Sorry to hear it. I'm unemployed right now, too. Hang in there, it's good to cut anything extra out of your budget right now that you can, to help float as long as possible while your looking for something else.
