    Cool History Buffs?

Anyone else here a history buff? And what time period/geographic area are you mainly interested in?

I was supposed to be a history major but had to change, getting a B.A. in history is still one of my long term goals though. I'm mainly interested in Japanese history (feudal and post WWII Japan) and the Middle Ages. I read about these time periods for fun but have endless college credits in history as well.

History buff here! I majored in history in college and am a World History teacher now. Funny, though, I hated the history of China and Japan when I was in college. So, we're kith-mates, but not quite! I love Greece, Rome, and Egypt, and also the history of the Middle Ages.

I am a History major. I love the Middle Ages, but in U.S. History it is the Civil War and the Old West. I hope to be a History teacher when I finish college.

I like the American history from 1920's- 1970's
It is fascinating the amount of political change and inventions that happened in that 50 year period

I'm a history buff too. I've thought several times about finishing up at school with a major in history. My white collar dream job.....teaching history at a university. I don't particullarly have any specific country or era though. It just has to be centeed where the personalties seem to emerge.

I also admire the Ancient Romans for their city building abilities.

I love only American history from the beginning until 1900. Focusing mostly on the Revolution, the Civil War and the Westward Expandtion. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong time.

The American Revolution through the Civil War is my favorite period of history, but the happenings in the Western U.S. from the 1870's to the early 20th centure also interest me. Such a time of change in lifestyles and culture.
