Anyone else reading A NEW EARTH, By Eckhart Tolle?
If so, do you care to share your thoughts? I think that this is one of the most thought provoking books that I have ever read. I am currently just starting chapter 6,breaking free from the Pain-Body. My goodness, I sure have been having alot of the AH HA moments.

I just started reading it (only on pg. 19) so I don't have any insights yet! I hope you have enjoyed it so far!

Oh, I love the book! It's very deep...a book you can really sink your teeth into and it makes such perfect sense. I find it thought provoking too and chock-full of wisdom. If we all can think the way he suggests it definitely would be a better world. I'm enjoying it very much.

I just started watching the web-casts that are on the Oprah website. They are doing live ones each week (started the first of march). It was nice to see Eckhart in person and hear him speak about the book. They are doing a chapter a week talking and taking questions from people via, skype (internet video phone), phone, and e-mail. It was worth it.
I'm on chapter 4 in the book, but I discovered on the Oprah site there are workbooks that you can print for each chapter that I just started today, so I'm back to Chapter 1 to do the workbook. Which is OK with me. I think this is a book I will reference often.
Has anyone else watched the web-casts?

Thanks to everyone for your replies here. I have been participating in the Monday night classes and I am so happy that I decided to do this. For those of you who are reading the book, are you finding it to be life transforming for you? It has been a definite positive life transformation for me.
I also went out and purchased his other book, The Power Of Now.
Eckhart is a very soft spoken man and from the very first class I felt as though I had known him forever. He has that gift to put you right at ease.Last edited by COUNTRYBUMPKIN; 04-04-2008 at 07:31 AM. Reason: Tad bit about Eckhart

CountryBumpkin-
I have read both of his books you mentioned in your last post TWICE!! I was first introduced to the New Earth by my mother, but didn't give it much attention until I saw him appear on Oprah. The books have given me a new perspective on everything and pivoted me on a different path. So many more such readings have captured my attention, and I have to say that my life has been "transformed". Glad to see you feel the same. I've been looking for this sort of post since I joined FV two days ago.
p.s. I watched all of the podcasts on "O" website, and have an audio recording of New Earth. Good stuff!!

I have the book but have not read it yet. I did see Tolle recently on PBS and what I did catch seemed confusing rather than enlightening. Thanks for reminding me to have a look at the book.
I did also read some disturbing comments coming from the extreme religious community blasting this particular book and Oprah for sponsoring the web event for it but I don't pay a lot of attention to that sort of criticism considering the source.

I just borrowed The Power of Now on audio from the library. I'll probably do New Earth next. I can say my stress levels have gone way down!
