June Baking Challenge
Sounds like we are getting our foreign accents sharpened with the May challenge! You've made some interesting things!
How about this for the June challenge?
This is a month when the fresh fruit really starts coming in. How about baking something with in-season fruit? This could be a cobbler, a slump, a brown betty, a fruit pizza, a fruit pie, a cake with fruit layers or topping, a tart, a fruit struesel, and so forth. The summer fruits that are in season where you are would be used.
Any takers for the June fresh fruit baking challenge?Spiritual:

Well, I've already made a pineapple-upside down cake.
June isn't a big fruit month here. We get more produce in July and August. That said, I can probably make strawberry shortcake. I've never made it from scratch.DH aka Mad Hen

I'm in. This one will happen whether I make an effort for it to or not. June is u-pick season for blueberries, rasberries start, and strawberries are fading out by me. Sometimes we even have blackberries by the end of the month. YUM! YUM! YUM!

I'm in. I like to make fillings for use later in the year. I freeze them and use them in baking later. Does this count?

Well May is a total loss for me so I'll start on June, I'll need the extra days since 31 wasn't enough. We don't have much in season here yet, maybe strawberries, but I'll figure somthing out. I wish the cherry tree was ready for picking it looks like tons of fruit this year.
I'll go for 2.

I am definitely in for 2 this month. Strawberries are at their peak right now so I will probably end up doing something with them. I will most likely make a strawberry cobbler and some strawberry scones.

June is Strawberry Festival time around here. So I'm going to try a strawberry pie. I've never done this before, so if you have, I'd appreciate any advice/recipes you might have!
