I plan on buying very little this month. I did go shopping tonight for milk and bread mainly. Everyone in my house has a cold, so I picked up some oranges and orange juice for the vitamin C as well as a bag of chicken nuggets and some pinto beans. This should get us two weeks or so.

I will try to come up with a list I hope to use up in December, but the basic idea is to eat it all and start over in January. I know it may cost more, but I have some OLD stuff here!

    Used up today-potatoes and bread

I hope to make much better progress this month as I will be using things out of the freezer for baking..........that should really help.

Lots of things going out of the pantry too......for baking.

Will be buying very little.......and unless it is homemade soup, very little will be going INTO the freezer........I think.

Lots of things should be flying out of the pantry this month, such as baking stuff.

Today I found two bags of confectioners sugar, thinking I only had one. Yep, time to clean out.

    (a little off subject)

I did the same thing with clothes this week. I decided it was time to clean out the closets. I have been alternating the same 3 long sleve shirts because that was all I had-or so I thought. I found about 5 more in a drawer in the closet.

I also was squeezing my 4 year old son into some 24 month (stretchy) pants to sleep in. I found 2 brand new pj outfits in his closet (and the price tag said I only paid $4 a piece)! I have GOT TO USE WHAT I HAVE!!!

I am in this month again
Last month I filled up the freezer and pantry.

Will need to replenish the fresh fruit and veggies and juice in the next couple of days. Otherwise I am only shopping for the food pantry this month. Except DH wants Leg of lamb for xmas so that will be a little pricey.
DD and I are taking $20 and we are going to see how much we can get for it.
Since Kroger is doing another mega deal we should do pretty well with coupons.

So far we have used up this month
    1 box pasta
    2 jars pasta sauce
    frozen veggies
    burrito seasoning packet
    ground meat
    tortillas
    cheese
    biscuits
    sausage
    steak (4)
    mixed veggie
    bake and serve cookies

I'm in, my freezer is way to full, I need to use up some stuff I have in there. I went grocery shopping on Friday and didn't buy any meat, just staples and HBA stuff.

    Last night I used...
    A Bag of Chicken breasts
The last of a bag of carrots
4 potatoes out of a 10 lb bag.
    4 Apples
2 individual servings of soup out of the freezer

I probably won't use much up during the week, I tend to cook on the weekends and eat it throughout the week.

Yesterday a lady at church blessed us with 2 small packs of deer meat and this HUGE shoulder of meat. The freezer is PACKED but you don't turn away free meat!

We also cooked up a pack of deer sausage, but is was too big, so half is going back into the freezer.

Getting ready to assess the December list for the first week....

didn't use up much so far from the list

Only muffin mix and carrots are on the list, but I did just finish my first try of homemade frozen burritos. They were really pretty good. The key is to heat them in the oven instead of the microwave.

    Used up:
    carrots, muffin mix, frozen burritos
