I have the next few days planned, pretty much by accident. We're having LO Chicago pizza with salad for supper tonight, Husby can have the last of that tomorrow for lunch, then Reuben sandwiches for supper tomorrow and probably Sunday, too. We like to keep it simple on the weekends.

I have to get some more WW meals in the freezer soon. I'm already running low again. I'm planning to make Vietnamese Pork Ball Soup and some more chimichangas, for sure, and probably some other kind of soup, plus chili. All WW recipes, of course. I love soup during cold weather. I'm down almost ten pounds since 1/1 so I'll be sticking with the plan that's been working, and that means having a nice selection of WW meals ready and waiting when I'm too hungry to cook.

I got the pork ball soup made and it's so good, like always. It's been a favorite for a long time.

Dog food is done, and I just finished up the chili. I modified the recipe so will have to recalculate points. I hope they go down and they might because I added more veggies. Chili is one of those foods that always appeals, so it's good to have some on hand especially in cold weather.

Still have to make Husby's frozen breakfasts, but not today. Maybe tomorrow. That'll be buttermilk pancakes, Little Sizzlers sausages, and scrambled eggs. I thawed out the buttermilk so now I have to use it.

So it seems I'm in charge of dinner again.

    This week:

    Rotisserie chicken, green beans w/bacon
    brats, onion rings, brussels sprouts
    chicken lettuce cups, broccoli
    fish, asparagus
    chicken, cauliflower
    ? broccoli

If the grocery ads come today I can start on next week.

I'm down to one bowl of WW soup left in the freezer, so I guess I'll be doing something about that soon. It's time to make dog food again already, too.

Things have been fluid and I got away from posting, but going to try and get back into it. I just updated my freezer inventory, marking off everything we've used up since my January surgery. Aside from 2 packs of chicken breast, 1 pack of steaks and a couple rotisserie chickens we've been eating off the stockpile. This will continue.

black bean chicken and broccoli stir fry
    tacos, salad
    burgers, veg/salad
    baked fish, veg/salad
    parmesan chicken, veg/salad
    soup ?
    leftovers
    chicken (wings?) veg/salad

Hoping for a sale on chicken soon because we are down to the last package or two, though I still have 3lbs of wings on the side.

Yay, Aldi has chicken for 1.49 this week!

We stayed on plan this week, though I am bumping the wings a few days.

    Next week:

    salmon scrambled eggs (breakfast)
    ham /veg
    chicken wings /veg or salad
    bbq brisket, slaw
    chicken /veg
    baked salmon /veg
    cheese soup, tuna sandw
    chicken /veg

All of the meats come out of the freezer stockpile. Vegs depend on what's on sale, probably asparagus and brussels sprouts. I have cabbage for the slaw, plus cauliflower, a broccoli kale salad mix, carrots, and zucchini on hand.

I'm going through some of our older camping recipes, from back before we were eating healthier stuff when we're away from home. I ran some recipes through WW's recipe builder yesterday and found that many of the recipes will work with my WW plan with a few changed. I don't make untried recipes while we're traveling because I don't have a full pantry for back-up in case something doesn't work out, so I need to test the newly improved recipes at home. But I don't want to wait too long to do it. I decided I'm going to make the recipes up and freeze the ones that will freeze. I like this idea because I need to get some WW meals into the freezer anyway. This way I can kill two birds with one stone, not that I'm in the habit of killing birds.

That's the extent of my meal planning, except for the dog food that's in progress. I'd hear about it if I didn't get their meals ready!

Went through the fridge and freezer this morning and this is what I found:

    -- beef roll, asparagus
    -- fish burger, broccoli
-- smoked turkey cold cuts (sandwich), tomato and cucumber salad
    -- parmesan chicken, brussels sprouts
    -- grilled flank steak, broccoli
    -- chicken meatballs, salad?

We also have half a melon and two green apples I can mix in for snacks.

DH will need to get milk tonight so I will ask him to get lettuce or a couple of bagged salads.

Faking it this week since we didn't get groceries over the weekend:

    -- kielbasa, zucchini fries
    -- fish, frozen peas
    -- salad, sandwiches
    -- broccoli slaw, chicken
    -- chili dogs, ? veg

Will have to make a run for bread, vegetables and other basics in a day or two.

Loose plan: Sat- pesto & pasta, Sun- meat loaf & potato salad (bake bread also), Mon- (hubby late) leftovers, Tues- pork loin on the grill & baked potato, Wed- chef salad (eggs & cheese), Thurs- chicken legs in crock pot, Fri- leftovers, Sat- burgers & corn.

Can you tell I have a lot of potatoes to get rid of? I think I am going to bust the grocery budget also.

Some deviations from menu plan last week but no problem. This week: beef stew (still using potatoes), chicken (frozen) in the crock pot to use with tortillas, pasta w/ fresh tomato topping, soup from the freezer. (Freezer is way too full.) Saturday we are having guests and hubby has some elaborate menu planned.

Tuesday-Sunday: leftover chicken & rice; fajitas; crock pot pork chops & stuffing (new recipe to try); burgers & corn, lasagne. Hubby will be late Thursday so I'll just have salad or a sandwich.

I think I need to try making pasta sauce with all these tomatoes. Not really my thing but it would take less freezer space.
