My aunt made ham salad sandwiches every Christmas Eve without fail for probably the first 18 years of my life and they were SOOOOOO good! I will occasionally buy premade ham salad at the grocery store, but it's kind of expensive and just doesn't taste as good as her recipe did! Eating it quickly takes me back to family Christmas celebrations in her home!

Has anyone started thinking about their January menus?

I have not. We're still eating Christmas leftovers. Some things we were going to eat this week got bumped to next week because there was more ham and chicken than I expected.

New Year's we are staying home (because of the severe cold) and having a cracker party. I have some "fondue" and we have bread, pretzels, and veggies to dip. And wine, crackers and cheese, salami, etc. We may watch a couple movies. The noise making goes on well after midnight around here, no point in going to bed early.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Next week we have our choice of:

    - baked tilapia, veg
    - tortellini vegetable soup
    - tortilla soup
    - chinese dumplings, rice, veg
    - parmesan chicken, veg or salad
    - BLT sandwiches
    - tomato soup, grilled cheese
    - chicken pot pie
    - bacon & egg over polenta

And if DH gets some buns:

    - sloppy joes
    - mahi burgers
    - turkey burgers
