Last week was a little chaotic, so some things got bumped:
-- meatballs, l/o noodles, butternut squash
-- cashew chicken, broccoli, l/o brown rice
-- chili, quesadillas, corn salad
-- hot dogs, fries
-- chicken, asparagus
-- fish, l/o beans&rice
-- broccoli cheddar soup, sandwich?Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

I pulled some items out of the freezer. Here's my plan for the next few days:
- Meatballs w/ penne pasta or as sandwiches
- Chicken & rice
- Chef John's Shrimp Etouffee (I'm adding chicken as I don't have 2 lb shrimp)
- Creamy chicken noodle skillet

Thanks, BW. I have to have a plan or we end up wasting food and money. I lose track of what is in the fridge and end up buying too much or too little, or don't have the right ingredients. We don't have good options for healthy fast food near us if I forget or get sick. Lots of restaurants in the city, but it means driving half an hour, waiting half an hour for a table or for food, getting home two hours later because I couldn't plan ahead and thaw some hamburger. I know it doesn't always work when you have kids and different schedules, but it's been good for us.

I try to plan and everyone here has likes/dislikes. Certain things that I make will get eaten and others, well, not so sure about....But I try! A lot of food was made lately so there's lots to eat....
Here's the itinerary:
Today- beef enchiladas
Wed- leftover enchiladas/ spaghetti/ chicken & rice/ smoked pork/deli turkey
Thurs- leftovers
Fri- smoked ribs & cornbread
Sat- homemade pizza

I always have a few easy meals like grilled cheese, hotdogs and beans etc. for quick meals. sometimes end up have more people etc for dinner. plus w leftovers just plan on cooking 2 or 3 meals a week. so just keep most of it to frozen, canned and dried stuff. fruit fresh. plus I don't do a bunch of sides unless company. like made pasta w meatballs frozen jarred sauce but no salad and garlic bread. we just don't eat a ton.
think I will make the mexican casserole I saved as fb post you mix a stuff together in the dish to cook. uncooked rice, chicken stock, salsa, black beans, chicken breasts and cheese.

Prob a couple of pita pizzas, and maybe make nachos if i can get to the tortillas to baked into chips. I have a giant can of nacho cheese to part and freeze. Prob do brownies w/ walnuts. Everything is always subject to whim and energy power downs.

Need to shop for more vegetables, that will determine what we have next week.Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
