This is the plan, may adjust it if the weather gets too hot.
-- pork roast, spinach salad, roasted sweet potatoes, cherry pie
-- broccoli cashew chicken stir fry
-- salad, veg soup
-- teriyaki tuna & rice bowl
-- mac& cheese with ham
-- leftovers
-- hot dogs, slaw or saladStop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

I don't even meal plan anymore. It's just the two of us and sometimes we don't feel like eating. Sometimes it's just popcorn. We have plenty in the freezer for whatever we feel like. Last minute we had steak last week. Still frozen. Put in cold water for about 30 minutes, seasoned and threw on the grill. So good. Most times when I cook, I cook enough for lunches and an extra meal, so cooking is only 2-3 days a week. Sometimes, we just grab something while we are out.

6/15 - chicken tikka masala
6/16 - chicken chili

before making the tikka masala, I'll debone and shred any leftover chicken from the grill. bones and bits will go in the crockpot for chicken broth.

jettsmom we are at the same place...just two of us....I use to love to cook but I'm old now and i's not as fun as it use to be and husband is a picky eater as he doesn't like anything spicy, different, etc....he doesn't cook or bbq...which is a good thing cause some men are just not handy in helping to cook.....and I got me one of those....LOL...
I usually throw some chicken legs for him, a breast for me in the oven with a baked potatoes and I'll have a salad or frozen veggie or maybe fresh....whatever I have and feel like....if I have fruit, we have that for dessert or applesauce....he throws the dishes in the dishwasher...tonite we had leftover spaghetti with meatsauce and fresh cantaloupe. later tonite he had yogurt.
Everyone's dinners always sound delicious.....

Last couple of weeks have just been nuts and really threw me off. Plan last week went bust and I didn't make a plan for this week. I want to use up some odds and ends and usually do better with that when I actually don't plan. I seem to do better using up stuff when I just wing it so this week is Wing-It-Week.

I've been pulling stuff out of the freezer and then figure it out later! If something takes a while to thaw (whole turkey), then that gives me time to cook other things.
The next few days will tentatively be:
- Ham & Scalloped potatoes
- Frozen breaded chicken & fries
- Shrimp fajitas
- Korean chicken over rice (dakgalbi)

We had shrimp fajitas last night (cilantro lime and plain with shrimp boil seasoning) and they came out good. Dessert has been bowls of strawberries & bananas. I may have to make my own cream with just heavy whipping cream instead of the canned kind or cool whip due to carbs.
This week, here's the plan:
- smoked chicken, steamed green beans, potato salad
- chicken soup
- chicken fajitas
- tuna sandwiches
- deli sandwiches

Next week:
-- egg salad sandwiches, swiss chard
-- l/o burgers, fries
-- chicken lettuce cups
-- ravioli, salad
-- fish, corn, swiss chard
-- chicken, cauliflower
-- pulled pork sandwiches, salad
I'd also like to find a cherry recipe that doesn't have a ton of sugar, and huge servings. I like pie but can't eat a whole one.Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

No good meat sales today.
Grilled chicken breasts tonight. Frozen vegs were hit or miss. I found okra for gumbo one night, already have sausages. Making 2 meatloaves to freeze, one for dad's house. Big pan of mac & cheese w/ salad Friday night? Will bake a cake to reduce grumbling.
