I never knew/thought about freezing quiche. Do you have a favorite recipe?
Have you every made/frozen mini quiche? That might be a quick and easy lunch lunch with a salad or a breakfast on the go.
Mahalo for the idea!!

I'm assuming this is 3 dozen for $3.99? Walgreens out here has twice in the past 3 months had eggs which were 2 (dozen) for $3, but that's the best I've found!

When I read your title I thought it was 3 eggs total for that price!
I was thinking --good gracious!

You can also freeze eggs if the need be. Or banana bread is great frozen, cookie dough, coffee cake etc.

Publix has eggs at $1.39 dozen this week. Your deal is better. Another thought egg salad or deviled eggs.

If eggs were that cheap here, I'd be making those bag omlettes you folks were all talking about a few weeks ago and freezing them. Wasn't that the idea?
At least that's what stuck in my head. I made a note that when eggs got cheap here around Easter I should buy them and make Hefty bag omlettes. so I guess that's what I'd do!

Hi there,
Unless I am blind, but I couldn't find eggs for $3.99 in Safeway's flyer. Is is it for this week? What part of Canada?

Just some egg meal ideas:
-fritattas (sp? like an omelette but instead of folding them over you just stick the pan under the broiler to cook the top)
-tortilla (the spanish version, again like an omelette with potatoes in it...so yummy!)
-breakfast burritos

It is in BC
It was advertised on the outside wrap of flyer... I didn't see it advertised on the internet flyer... so it was a great surprise!
And is 3 dozen.... LOL
I don't have a favourite quiche recipe... I just add what I happen to have on hand... sometimes it is only sauteed onions...

No egg sale at Safeway in SK this week. Guess it's those BCers who get the lucky break this week.
