Thanks for this new forum Sara.
I hope that all of the European members will use it.

I would like to ask a question.
How are the meat prices in the rest of Europe?

I often read about the prices that everyone pays in the US and am AMAZED!
The VERY cheapest ground meat that I have found was around $2.00 per pound but that was a special offer.

Also I can find - sometimes - some chicken legs or drumsticks for around the same price, but that is it.
Meat - at least here in Holland - is expensive.

I have started looking around for turkey (fresh if possible) for Christmas but it is once again going to be quite expensive I fear.

    Any ideas?

Hi Ellie Im in Ireland as well, whereabouts are you - we are in co. wicklow.

Ithe price of stuff is crazy, Im off to the north shopping starting in January, I normally do a big shop once a month in Tescos so Im quite Happy to drive to get much cheaper prices and do once a month up there, Luckily DH has a company car and free petrol so I wont have to fork out for that

Melina, I have a special place in my heart for Biarritz as I went camping there on my first ever trip to Europe.
