Default Finally getting some winter weather at the end of the week

It seems like that we have been having the wettest, grey, dull winter in history.
For one reason or another I seem to be having more trouble with this weather this year than ever before.

I promise you that the weather forecast every single day is almost exactly the same - rain (or sometimes dry) and dull. It's never really cold - about 8 or 9 sometimes even 12 or 13 but never ever cold and sunny winter weather.

At the end of this week, the rain is going away and we are going to be getting cold and sunny winter weather with frost - YEAH!!!!

I believe the Eastern side of Britain will be sharing your cold weather, I don't know what it's going to be like here but I wouldn't mind some really cold weather. It's been the same as you describe here, lots and lots of rain, more rain than I can remember for a long time, grey and just dark the whole time, the worst of all worlds.

We need snow! Lots! Lack of snow here is really hurting our economy for the second year in a row. We only have about six inches on the ground and should have a couple feet by now.

Well, snow or sunshine, I hope you all get what you need.

Since this part of the county doesn't seem to be on any snow-plough/salt/grit circuit, what WE do not want is a big snowfall. We're high on the cliffs above the north sea and when it blasts in from the north - we stay home. Or we walk everywhere. Buses can't get through and the snow-ploughs are, of course, unable to get through the gridlocked traffic . . .

I just don't want to think about it. I can cope with cold, rain, wind; overnight frost; just - please - no great dumps of SNOW.

Today we had NO RAIN !!!
And we saw some blue sky and even the sun came out for a bit.

Everyone seemed to be just a bit more cheerful!

@ Toffeekit - I hope for you that you don't get a huge load of snow.
