Your day, Monday January 14th 2013

Once again (and I can hardly believe that I am saying this), it is a BEAUTIFUL sunny but cold day here and they expect snow to fall in our area starting this evening.
It doesn't get much better than this in my opinion.
It will remain under zero for the next few days (even during the day) but I am not complaining - anything is better than all the rain we have had.

Today will be a really exciting day in Dutchie-land - I will be cleaning, baking, doing laundry and doing grocery shopping.
Don't know if I will be able to stand it all.

GRRRRRR! The snow came.

I needed to get the van to the local garage, for a bit of necessary maintenance, so I got up early to check the snow level and to get the van out onto the road before it became impossible. Job done. Van left at the workshop - I'll phone in about an hour to check on progress. Meanwhile, I watch it snow.

I've topped up the feeders and the bird-table, to keep the feathered friends fed.

I'm so bored, I've even done some ironing.

Good morning village!

Off to work this afternoon so this morning I will make a trip to the library and the insurance company...getting a reduced rate...yay!

but first I have to clean the 2 inches of ice off the car! It is snowing and cold so no sunshine here. I miss sunshine

It's cool and sunny here, my favorite kind of day. Mondays are cleaning days for me, but I'm rearranging my schedule to get out this morning, running errands (slowly) so I can soak up some of that sunshine/happy vitamin.

Hi all,

We had a great day yesterday. The weather was not too bad so we took ourselves off to Southport, I couldn't believe it, the tide was even in. Which anyone who has ever been there knows is not something that happens very often. We had a lovely traipse up and down Lord Street, poked around some of the lovely shops, petted the statue of Red Rum etc. We left before we'd done all we wanted to with many promises we'd go back another time. Maybe when it's not howling a gale
