Frugal Friday, 3/18/11

Happy Friday!!

I've been MIA, ds's incessant coughing prevents us both from sleeping a lot. Poor boy. I feel silly taking him to the doctor for a cough, but it's all-consuming. So I may call them today after all. 5 days of coughing is enough. And he's such a trooper, he's not cranky even though I know he doesn't feel good and is sleep-deprived. We shall see! Hopefully he can make it thru school today with a full dose of delsym!

Today is work for me! You would think I would have all sorts of work piled up since I was out 2 days this week with my son, but nope. I hate the slow season! Here's to hoping lots of work comes in today, or it's going to be a long one!!

Tonight we are lounging. Nothing else. And DH is coming home! Hooray! I can't wait!

I took my car in for its 5000 mile checkup, then went to Walmart to buy herbs, tomato, and pepper plants. Put water in the birdbaths, hung windchimes on the front porch, cleaned out the herb bed and am planting the herbs today. DH is working late, so no need to fix dinner here.

I cleaned house yesterday so just had few things to do today felt good not have a lot to do on friday.Was able write out a check for one hospital bill paid in full

made it a no spend day i dated the check for tomorrow mail has done been picked up today.got fix dinner.

DD had Dad's Day/St. Joseph's Alta at school. Volunteered there until lunch. After that, I vegged cuz I was so tired. Ran an errand with DD and now I will try to get a few things done tonight. DH is helping out with the dinner at church.

Stayed home to have a no spend day. Did homeschool with the youngest and the oldest while the middle one was sick. Got some laundry hung up to dry, researched some items we will need for the new baby to find out the best prices, and got a bit straightened up around here. Now I have to figure out what we are going to be wearing for our family pictures tomorrow. The goals is to put together something without spending anything.

The 4 of us in spec. ed. celebrated a co-workers birthday. We all brought a dish to share for lunch. It was great!

We usually eat out or get take-out on Friday night. But, this is day 2 for me with no job... so I cooked dinner. And it was nice... healthy and relaxing, and we saved money.
