...downloading it ... hope to be in soon.
nope, i don't have the right graphics card according to lively.
Sorry..:( will check what their requirements are.
Come on...I'm alone on my little island!
I tried last night, but the software kept getting stuck on loading the island.
Same here... I watched the lava lamp for over 4 minutes while "loading room"
Weird. Maybe try the direct link?
Tried several ways. Can't try from work. Will try in IE tonight.
I'm in the chatroom. ;)
No joy in IE either.
Honestly, tho, from the look of it, it's not what I would hang out in as a chat room. I am a traditionalist - IRC style for me, plz. :)

Install, Update, and Uninstall: How to Install
Lively is a free, downloadable application that allows you to express yourself by socializing and creating rooms in 3-D. Lively runs on Windows XP or Windows Vista, using either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. To install Lively, follow the instructions below:
- Visit http://lively.com/ (You can also install by visiting any room URL or clicking on a room embedded in a webpage).
- Click the Download Lively button.
- Click Save file to open the livelysetup.exe file.
At this point, click Open to continue installing lively. You can also click the livelysetup.exe file that appears on your desktop.
- You'll see messages that Lively is installing and a status bar showing your progress.
- When the install is complete, click Close.
If you haven't specified a room to visit, you'll be taken to the Room List. Select which room you'd like to enter and you'll see a sign-in screen.
If you're visiting a specific room, you'll be taken directly to the sign-in prompt, but you can visit the Room List later.
If no Lively windows open automatically, just visit www.lively.com/rl or double-click the Lively icon on your desktop.
Now, you'll need to sign in with your Google Account username or password. If you don't have a Google Account username, but are a Facebook user, you can simply enter your Facebook username and password. Once you've entered your login info, you'll see a progress bar as the room starts loading. You'll be prompted to choose your avatar, as well as a nickname to identify you to others using Lively.
Tip: We advise you not to use your email address or any other personal info in your nickname.
After Lively is installed, you can access it by going to Start > Programs > Lively, by clicking the Lively icon on your desktop, or by visiting a room via URL or embed.
It's not the video card. It seems to be some kind of connectivity issue. The app is launching, and I'm signing in, and then its stalling trying to actually connect into the room.
Any tips on their help about firewall passthroughs or something?
Yes i tried yesterday and today and i cannot get in either. It just sits there saying joining room and never does anything.
As cute as the ImVu type of rooms are... I miss the old chatroom
