wow. great deal. I know Sam's has a good price on their 25 pound sacks of flour - like $9 or something. But I don't have a place to put that much flour. Though I would like to.
Commercial bleached/unbleached flour has a shelf-life of 6-12 months. "Old" flour is one of the chief reasons for poor quality bread and baked goods. If you have room in your freezer, double-bag it (flour can pick up odors in the freeze) and park as much as possible in there to lengthen the shelf-life, especially if you don't plan on doing a lot of baking during the upcoming warmer months.
This is odd, it says there's a page 2, but I've tried to get on page 2 3 different ways & it stays on page one (refreshes to the top). So I'm just posting to see if I can end up on page 2....
If you stored it in buckets with oxygen absorbers, how long does anyone think it would last? Because if I could get away with not having to buy flour for a good while that would be wonderful!
