Sugar scrub question

How long do homemade sugar scrubs last once made?

I was thinking about sending my MIL a Mocha Spice Sugar Scrub

If I mixed it all up now it would be a month before she even opened it. Is that okay or should I make a sugar scrub kit the dry ingredients in the jar and a bottle of the oil then she could mix them together when she was ready to use maybe include a plastic spoon so she could have it all in one place when she decided to use it.

What are your thoughts on this?

That is the recipe I plan on using.

My question is how long do scrubs last and should I mix it all together or send it to her separate.

Does the page answer that question? if so please point me to the section I didn't see it.

As long as the container is airtight, it should be okay. If it's exposed to moisture, then it could become rancid. Hope this helps.

I made a scrub using just sugar and oil. Kept it in a small mason jar to use as a foot scrub. Kept it for a couple months that way.

I think I will send it to her dry and liquids not mixed. I found a small bottle of oil. That way she can mix it up when she wants.

We also made some bath salts and bought her a nice washcloth.
