Sad day in my hometown

My Mom told me last night that one of the kids who lived in my hometown was killed in Iraq. I was able to look him up on cnn.com today and it's true.

Staff Sgt. Lincoln D. Hollinsaid was killed by enemy fire on April 7, 2003, in Iraq. He died for us and for our freedom. He was 27 years old.

I'm sure that in a town the size of our (pop. 385) that there are many hearts that are broken. I did not know him, I moved away sometime before his family moved in, but I am thankful he served for us.

Thank you, Staff Sgt. Hollinsaid. You did not die in vain.
