Fish Fry Mix... Great for men..Especially Fishermen...

This would be a great gift in a jar for a man, decorate the jar with a masculine themed fabric and tie on little fishing trinkets...Old fashioned cork floats, lures ect..... Nothing sharp like hooks !!!!!!!

Corn Meal Coating for Fish

1/2 cup White or Yellow Corn Meal
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder(optional)
1/2 teasppon paprika
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/2 salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Mix these dry ingredients and seal jar very tightly

Tip...... It would be best to freeze the cornmeal and flour for 20 days before this recipe is made...This will insure it never develops those dreaded weevils.......
Recipe for card...................................
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1 pound boneless fish fillets
3 to 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
Beat egg and water until well combined. Dip fish fillets
in dry ingredients, egg mixture, then in dry ingredients again. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Fry coated fish 2 to 3 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Thanks! I loved both of those recipe ideas! My step-dad loves to fish! I think I make this for him to try. I also appreciate the freezing the flour tip!!!
