Popcorn Spice Mixes
Bayou Popcorn Spice
3 T. paprika
1 T. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
1 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Also need a few packs of microwave popcorn.
In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients until well blended. Store in an airtight container or mini ziploc bag. Give as a gift with a few packs of microwave popcorn and the serving instructions below.
To serve: Microwave popcorn according to package directions. Open bag and sprinkle 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of seasoning mix, or more to taste, over the popcorn. Hold the top of the bag closed and shake until popcorn is coated well.

Chocolate Lovers Popcorn Mix
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnut pieces
2 T. instant malted milk powder or presweetened cocoa mix
Combine together and give as a gift with one package of microwave popcorn and the serving instructions below.
To serve: Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Open bag and immediately add flavoring mix to the bag. Close bag and shake to coat well.

Chocolate Cinnamon Popcorn Spice Mix
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, chilled and finely ground
1 T. plus 2 tsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until well blended. Store in an airtight container. Give as a gift with serving instructions.
To serve: Melt 1/4 cup butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in 2 T. of popcorn spice mix. Pour over 3 cups of popped popcorn and stir well.
Makes about 3/4 cup of mix.

Parmesan Garlic Popcorn Spice Mix
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried tarragon
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. parsley flakes
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until well blended. Store in an airtight container. Give as a gift with serving instructions.
To serve: Melt 1/4 cup butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in 1 T. of popcorn spice. Pour over 3 cups of popped popcorn and stir well.
Makes 1/2 cup of mix.

Spicy Popcorn Seasoning Mix
3 T. dried parsley flakes
2 1/2 T. chili powder
2 T. garlic salt
1 T. dried chives
2 tsp. onion powder
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in an airtight container. Give as a gift with serving instructions and a few packs of microwave popcorn.
To serve: Combine 1/3 cup butter or margarine with 1 tablespoon of seasoning mix in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a paper towel and microwave until butter is melted. Stir to mix well. Pour over popped popcorn.
Makes about 1/2 cup seasoning mix.

Sweet and Spicy Popcorn Mix
1 T. sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of cayenne pepper
Mix all ingredients together and store in a resealable plastic baggie. Give as a gift with microwave popcorn packets and serving instructions.
To serve: Microwave popcorn according to package directions. Open bag and sprinkle desired amount of seasoning mix into the popcorn. Close bag and shake to mix well.
Makes enough mix to cover 6 cups of popcorn.

Ooooooo, I love these ! Thanks for posting them....
I have some shaker bottles and these would be great to make pretty labels for on the computer and put in a basket with popcorn and a movie...... Thanks !!
